James will be making his role debut singing Ruggero in La Rondine by Puccini in the summer of 2014. James will be making his role debut with Iford Opera, a company local to James near Bath in the  UK.  James performed the role of Gobin in La Rondine back in 2005 in the Nicolas Joel - Royal Opera House production with Jonas Kaufmann playing the role of Ruggero. 

When Magda, the elegant mistress of the elderly Rambaldo, meets the young, naive Ruggero, she is smitten and dreams of building a life with him. But can she escape her chequered past?
